PAX is coming to the forefront of my mind as it draws closer to that Wednesday night where I get no sleep. Where at 3 am I will be sitting in a southern Florida airport waiting for panic to seize me.

Why would I panic? Fear of heights or airplanes? Going to a city I’ve never been to before? Meeting idols I’ve had for more years then I can remember? Playing unreleased games? Meeting new people?

Panic because my DS or phone is dead and I’m about to fly to Boston without music to lull me into sleep. At this point battery life falling below 50% is the only that scares me. As I write this right now it’s on an iPhone with 40% life left and it’s making me cringe.

Perhaps I can read a book on the flight and not throw up. That would be wondrous. But this is all beside the point of this post. The point I want to make is the Scout Motto. Be Prepared.

Such a thing has stuck with me since 5th grade. Boy scouts will never truly leave my life, not since I got eagle. If I didn’t get eagle I’m sure I would have forgotten all about scouts by now.

Since this post has become a rambling mess I’m just going to post a second one with the information I wanted to convey to myself.
